HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1973-573 BILL NO. 977 (AMENDED) COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII ORDINANCE N0. ~~~~ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13-F OF ORDINANCE NO. 63 (ZONING ORDINANCE), REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII 1967, AS AMENDED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. The purpose of this Act is to propose an amendment to Section 13-F of Ordinance No. 63 of the Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, as amended, to aid agricultural pursuits in the raising of tomatoes and other fruit and vegetable products. SECTION 2. Section 13-F of Ordinance No. 63 of the Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, as amended, is further amended by adding a new section to read as follows: "3) For accessory uses such as plastic roofed and saran shade wooden or metal framed structures used in controlling the amount of sunlight, rainfall, wind and other elements of nature in the raising of fruits, vegetables and similar agricultural products, side and front yards shall be at least 10 feet; provided, that Section 13-F requirements shall prevail (a) in the event exterior walls of any type other than saran is added to the wooden or metal framed structure, (b) in the event the specific use allowed is abandoned, and (c) where said boundaries share common lines with urban zones and main government roads." SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
