Chapter 11, Article 5. Hawaii County Code,
to read:
"Sec. 1.01 AllOP'PION OF Tic; NATIONdL ELECTRICAL CODE, The National
Electrical Code, 1971 Editio~, copyrighted May, 1971, and published. by the
National Fire Protection AssG~ciation, 60 Batterymarch Street, Boston,
Massachusetts 02110, is heresy adopted by reference and made a part hereof
subject to the amendments li ted hereunder. Three copies of said Code shall
be kept on file and be avail~ble for public inspection i.n the County Clerks
office. The scope, technical specifications and exemptions set forth in
said Code are hereby adopted', as the standard for electrical work covered by
the Code, if there are no spd~cific provisions in another section of this
Code covering the paxticularmatter.
"A. Amendments to the N~tional Electrical Code, 1971 Edition.
The last sentence o' Section 210-7 of the National Electrical Code,
1971 E3itiou, to read: 'This requirement shall become effecti..ve on June 1,

This Bill amends CYlapter 1]., Hrticle 5, Section 1.01, Hawaii County
Code, as amended, relalting to the Electrical Code.
