AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11, ARTICLE 5, SEC. 1.01, HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS
AMENDED, RELATING TO THE ELECTRICAL CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Sec. 1.01 of Chapter 11, Article 5, Hawaii County Code, to
read:
~~Sec. 1.01 ADOPTION OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE. The National Electri-
cal Code, 1971 Edition, copyrighted May, 1971, and published by the National
Fire Protection Association, 60 Battexmarch Street, Boa ton, Massachusetts 02110,
ie hereby adopted by reference and made a part hereof subject to the amendments
listed hereunder. Three copies of said Code shall be kept on file and be avail-
able for public inspection in the County Clerk'• office. The scope, technical
specifications and exemptions set forth in said Code are hereby adopted ae the
standard for electrical work covered by the Code, if there are no specific
provisions in another section of this Code covering the particular matter.
~~A. Amendments to the National Electrical Code, 1971 Edition.
The third paragraph of Section 210-7 of the National Electrical Code,
1971, is hereby deleted."
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

This Bill amends Chapter 11, Article 5, Section 7..11, Hawaii County
Code, as amended, relating to the Electrical Code.
