S~ COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII ORDINANCE NO. :~ P° AN ORDINANCE TO INITIATE A CHARTER AMENDMENT CHANGING THE DATE OF SUBMISSION AND APPROVAL OF THE BUDGET. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Section 10-2(a) of the County Charter of the County of Hawaii is amended to read: '~(a) Within ten (10) working days after the close of the State legislature but not later than May 1 of each year, the mayor shall submit to the county council:" SECTION 2. The twenty-second day of June as contained in the second paragraph of section 10-6 (c) is amended to read "thirtieth day of June." SECTION 3. The twenty-second day of June as contained in the second paragraph of section 10-5 is amended to read "thirtieth day of June." SECTION 4. Effective Date. Initiation of this charter amendment shall become effective upon approval and will automatically stand repealed upon submission to the electorate of the County for approval at the next General Election.
