AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COUNTY HOUSING PROGRAM REVOLVING
FUND.
WHEREAS, Section 10-12 of the Charter of the County of
Hawaii provides that upon recommendation of the Mayor the
Council may by ordinance abolish or establish such special
funds as may be necessary for the proper and efficient
segregation of fiscal operations of the County; and
WHEREAS, by Communication No. 1283/PRDLC-50 and
Resolution No. 386, the Council did establish a County housing
program fund in the amount of $100,055 and transferred appro-
priations from C-84003, Aid to Housing - $85,000 (Ordinance
No. 586) and G-6212, Revolving Fund to Assist Senior Citizens
Housing - 515,055 balance; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The County housing program fund created by
Communication No. 1283/PRDLC-50 and Resolution No. 386 is
abolished and monies transferred to the Project Contingency
Account of Ordinance No. 586.
SECTION 2. There shall be established a special revoly-
ing fund entitled the "County Housing Program Revolving Fund"
to be maintained by the Director of Finance.
SECTION 3. The County Housing Program Revolving Fund
shall be utilized to pay for items such as contractual
services, housing surveys, travel, supplies and materials
and other front-end costs related to the development of
housing. Any advanced costs that are recovered from housing
project funds shall be returned to the Revolving Fund.
SECTION 4. The sum of $100,000 is transferred to the
County Housing Program Revolving Fund from the General
Fund Account No. G-8536, Vacation Pay.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
