ORDINANCE NO. ~'<:'
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8 (ZONING CODE), ARTICLE 17, SECTION
3-B, HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE SAFETY FLOOD
HAZARD DISTRICT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TiiF. COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 8, Article 17, Section 3-B, Hawaii County
Code, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"B. The elevation of the flood level (referenced to
MSL) shall be indicated on the zone maps by a numerical
suffix after the letters SF, For sheet flow conditions, the
[numerical suffix shall indicate the depth of flow above
ground elevation in inches.] alphabetical suffix D, indicates
that the area is subject to undetermined, but possible flood
hazard."
SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New
material is underscored. When incorporating this ordinance into
the Hawaii County Code, the incorporator need not include the
brackets, the bracketed material, or the underscoring.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

This Bill amends Chapter 8 (Zoning Code), Article 17,
Section 3-B, Hawaii County Code, as amended, relating to the
Safety Flood Hazard District.
