AN ORDINANCE Ar1ENDING ARTICLE 18 OF CHAPTER 6 (TRAFFIC CODE),
HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, BY THE ADDITION THERETO OF A
NEW SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Article 18, Chapter 6 (Traffic Code), Hawaii
County Code, is hereby amended by repealing Section 47
(Ordinance No. 67).
SECTION 2. Article 18, Chapter 6 (Traffic Code), Hawaii
County Code, ie~ hereby amended by the adoption of a new section
that reads as follows:
"SEC. 47. [JSF. OF FOG OR PARKING LAMPS PROHIBITED
(a) No vehicle shall be driven at any time with
fog lamps lighted except when the headlamps are also
lighted.
(b) No vehicle shall be driven at any time with
parking lamps lighted except when the parking lamps are
being used as turn signals or when the headlamps are
also lighted."
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.

County Code, is hereby amended by the adoption of a new section
that reads as follows:
"SEC. 97. USE OF FOG OR PARY.Ii:G LAMPS PROEIBITED
(a) No vehicle shall be driven at any time with
fog lamps lighted except v:hen the headlamps are also
lighted.
(b) No vehicle shall be driven at any time with
parking lamps lighted except when the parking lamps are
being used. as turn signals or when the headlamps are
also lighted."
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 18 OF CHAPTER 6 TRAFFIC CODE1,
HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, BY THE ADDITION THERETO OF A
NEW SECTION.
This Bill amends Article 18 of Chapter 6 (Traffic Code), Hawaii
County Code, as amended, by the addition thereto of a new section
prohibiting the use of fog or parking lamps.
