AN ORDINANCE AME~TDIIUG ORDINANCE N0. 50, INCORPORATED INTO CHAPTER ~',
ARTICLE 3, HAWAII GJUNTY CODE, AS AMEIQDED, CONCERNING REGULATION OF
PARKING AT THE COUN'T'Y BUILDING AND ESTABLISHMENT OF PARKING FEES FOR
COUNTY PERSONNEL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TEIE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 2, Article 3, Sec. L.21, Hawaii County Code,
as amended, is hereby amended as follows:
"SEC. 1.21. Area of County land involved will initially be
confined to the Hawaii County Building Complex in Hilo. Other
areas Hof County lands may be subjected to parking controls and
this section shall be applicable to those areas on a date to lie
designated in a written notice thereof, which date shall be not
less than i0 days after the giving of such notice."
SECTION 2. Chapter 2, Article 3, Hawaii County Code, as amended,
is hereby amended by adding the following sub-sections to Sec. 1.2?_:
"(d) Rates for metered stalls shall be five cents for each
fifteen minutes of parking time.
"(e) No person shall park a vehicle in any parking meter
space for a ecnsecutive period of time longer than two hours,
irrespective cf the number or value of the coins deposited in
such meter.
"(f) A11 fees collected from parking meters installed at
County buildirg parking lots shall be deposited in the Parking
Metter Fund. County employees' and officials' rental for parking
stalls shall be deposited in the General Fund."
SL;CTION 3. Chapter 2, Article 3, Section 1.26(1), Hawaii County
Code, as amended, is hereby amended as follows:
"(i) Provisions of this ordinance shall have application only
during [the regular working hours of the County 7:00 o'clock A. M.
to 5:00 o'clock P. M., inclusive, Mondays through Fridays, except on
holidays."
SECTION 4. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is
underscored. The brackets, bracketed material or the underscoring need
not be included in printing this ordinance.
SECTION 5. TY,is ordinance shall Cake effect as soon as preparations
have been made to the parking area duly posted with the proper signs and
government officials' and County employees' cars are properly identified.

ARTICLE 3, HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, CONCERNING REGULATION OF
PARKING AT THE COUNTY BUIhDING AND ESTABLISHMENT OF PARKING FEES FOR
COUNTY PERSONNEL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 2, Article 3, Sec. 1.21, Hawaii County Code,

SECTION 3. Chapter 2, Article 3, Section 1.26(i), FFawaii County
Code, as amended, is hereby amended as follows:

during 7:00 o'clock A. M. to 5:00 o'clock P. M., inclusive, Mondays
through Fridays, except on holidays."
This ordinance shall take effect as pf October 1, '1975.
