ORDINANCE NO. 236
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 , ARTICLE 1 , CHAPTER 6
(TRAFFIC CODE) , HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII :
SECTION 1. Section 3 , Article 1 , Chapter 6 , Hawaii
County Code, as amended, is hereby amended by adding thereto
the following section:
"Section 3 . 41 SIREN
"A warning device for authorized emergency vehicle
use, limited to the following sounds :
(1) Wail
(2) Yelp
(3) European Hi-Low
(4) Riot: a combination of the 'Yelp ' and
'European Hi-Low'"
SECTION 2 . This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.

(TRAFFIC CODE) , HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED.
This Bill amends Section 3 , Article 1 of the Traffic Code
by adding a new subsection defining "Siren. "
