ORDINANCE N0. .~08
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 (TRAFFIC CODE), ARTICLE 8,
SECTION 5, HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO
SPECIAL SPEED LIMITS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 6 (Traffic Code), Article 8,
Section 5, Hawaii County Code, as amended, is hereby amended
by adding the following item ~to the "TWENTY MILES PER HOUR"
category of Schedule 5:
" Hawaii Belt Road from the beginning to
the end of Project No, P-2129, a distance of
18,190 feet in the area known as Kahuku in the
district of Ka'u, for the duration of the
construction of the project.
Upon completion of the project the Department of
Public Works shall remove the 20 miles per hour
speed signs governing the affected area and upon
removal of said signs the speed limit governing
said area prior to the passage of this ordinance
shall be restored,"
SECTION 2, This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
