ORDINANCE N0. ~1.1
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 (TRAFFIC CODE), ARTICLE 6,
SECTION 1, HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO
PERMITTED AND PROHIBITED U-TURN AREAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 1D o:E Article 6, Chapter 6,
(Traffic Code), Hawaii County Code, as amended, is hereby
further amended by adding the following:
"8. Intersection of Piilani Street and Kanoelehua
Avenue, inbound direction (toward Hilo) only.
"9. Intersection of Pohaku Street and Kanoelehua
Avenue, outbound direction (away from Hilo) only.
"10. Intersection of Makaala Street and Kanoelehua
Avenue, inbound direction (toward Hilo) only.
"11. Intersection of Kahaopea Street and Kanoelehua
Avenue."
SECTION 2. Section lE of Article 6, Chapter 6 (Traffic
Code), Hawaii County Code, as amended, is hereby further
amended by adding the following:
"3. Intersection of Kamehameha Avenue-Kanoelehua
Avenue-Banyan Drive.
"4. Intersection of Kekuanaoa Street and Kanoelehua
Avenue.
"5. Intersection of Leilani Street and Kanoelehua
Avenue.
"6. Intersection of Kawili Street and Kanoelehua
Avenue.
"7. Intersection of Puainako Street and Kanoelehua
Avenue.
"8. Intersection of Pillani Street and Kanoelehua
Avenue, outbound direction (away from Hilo) only.
"9. Intersection of Pohaku Street and Kanoelehua
Avenue, inbound direction (toward Hilo) only.
"10. Intersection of Makaala Street and Kanoelehua
Avenue, outbound direction (away from Hilo) only.
"11. Intersection of Kilauea Avenue Cut-Off Road
and Kanoelehuas Avenue, outbound direction
(away from Hi:Lo) only."'
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
