AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 (TRAFFIC CODE) ARTICLES 1
AND 15, HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO
DEFINITIONS AND STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING AREAS,
RESPECTIVELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 6 (Traffic Code) Article 1, Hawaii
County Code, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding
the following section:
"Sec. 3.199 TURN AROUND AREA
That portion of a dead-end street designed primarily
for turning a vehicle in the opposite direction."
SECTION 2. Section 3A2 of Chapter 6 (Traffic Code)
Article 15, Hawaii County Code, as amended, is hereby further
amended by adding the following item:
"(i) Within the turn-around area of a dead-end
street, when official. signs are erected."
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
