ORDINANCE N0. ~-
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6, (TRAFFIC CODE) ARTICLE 8,
HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO SPECIAL SPEED
LIMITS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Ordinance Nos. 308 and 327, adopted on
October 5, 1977 and November 16, 1977, respectively, and
amending Schedule 5 of Chapter 6, Article 8, Section 5,
Hav~aii County Code, as amended, are hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.

Re: Amendments to the Traffic Code
C-574 - establish 25 mph and 35 mph zones at
certain areas on Puako Beach Road.
C-585 - establish no-parking zones on
Kilauea Avenue.
C-590 - establish loading zone along
Likana Road in Kailua-Kona.
C-595 - four-way stop control at Kawailani
Komahana Intersection.
C-634 - rescind Ord. 308 and 327, relating to
special speed limits (construction zones
in Kahuku, Ka'u, and in Puukapu, So. Kohala).
As requested, we are submitting the attached ordinances
to effect the above changes in the Traffic Code.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6, (TRAFFIC CODE) ARTICLE 8, HAWAII
COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO SPECIAL SPEED LIMITS.
This Bill amends Chapter 6 (Traffic Code), Article 8, Hawaii
County Code, as amended, relating to special speed limits by
repealing the temporary speed limits within the construction zones
at Kahuku, Ka'u, and Puukapu, South Kohala, as major improvements
for the County projects have been completed.
Date Introduced: April 1, 1978
Copies of the foregoing Bill, in full, are on file in the
Office of the County Clerk for use and examination by the public.

reading at the meeting of the County Council on April 1, 1978,
by the following aye and no vote:
