SFCTTOE 1. Section 9.05 of Chanter 3, Article 1, Hawaii County Code,
as amended, is hereby amended by changing Section 9.05 to read:
"SF.C. 9.05 CAF]? OF SIDEWALKS
"A. The term 'sidewalk' as used to this sectton shall. mean that portion
of a street between a curb 7.inc, or the lateral line of a roadway, and the
adjacent nropzrt~~ line intender! for the use of pedestrians.
"R. After the ,grade of any street has keen established, as by law pre-
scribed, all owners of lands ahuttinn on and adjoining such street shall, at
their own expense, maintain their s:Cdewalks in good repair and keep their
sidewalks free of all. weeds, noxious growths or other vegetable matter; provided
that, should the owners have grass grown thereon they shall. keen same cut so
same shall. not he a nuisance or inconven:[ence to the public passing thereon.
SECTION 2. Th:Cs ordinance shall. take effect anon its approval.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3, ARTICLE 2, SECTION 9.05, HAWAII
COUNTY CODE, RELATING TO THE CARE OF SIDEWALKS.
This Bill amends Chapter 3, Article 2, Section 9.05, Hawaii
County Code, relating to the care of sidewalks.
Date Introduced: May 18, 1978
