ORDINANCE NO. a~G
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLES 8, 12 AND 16 OF CHAPTER 6,
(TRAFFIC CODE), HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, RELATING
TO SPEED LIMIT, CROSSWALKS, AND FREIGHT-LOADING ZONES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Schedule 5
Article 8, Section 5, Hawaii
hereby amended by adding the
"Thirty-Five Miles Per Hour"
(Speed Limits) of Chapter 6,
County Code, as amended, is
following item to the
category:
"39. WAIKOLOA ROAD, South Kohala, from a point
approximately 300 feet mauka of the driveway
to the stables and extending westerly to a
point 800 feet makai of Paniola Avenue."
SECTION 2. Schedule 7 (Established Crosswalks) of
Chapter 6, Article 12, Section lA, Hawaii County Code, as
amended, is hereby amended by adding the following item to
the °'South Hilo" category:
"29. Old Mamalahoa Highway, in Papaikou,
approximately 400 feet north of the
Kalanianaole School ingress driveway."
SECTION 3. Schedule 14 (Freight-Loading Zones) of
Chapter 6, Article 16, Section 2D, Hawaii County Code, as
amended, is hereby amended by adding thereto the following
items:
"28. On the mauka side of KEAWE STREET, beginning
at a point fifty-six (56) feet Puna of
Kalakaua Street and extending in the Puna
direction for a distance of twenty-three (23)
feet.
"29. ALII DRIVE, in Kailua, Kona, mauka side, in
the marked zone' fronting the Mokuaikaua
Church and the Kim Chong Building."
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
