AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICL]? 17, CHAPTER 6 (TRAFFIC CODE) OF TI{E
HAWAII COUNTY CODE, TO ADD A NEW SECTION RELATING TO PARKING ME'!'ER
ZONES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCI. OF THB COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Article 17, Chapter 6 of the Hawaii County Code is
hereby amended to add a new section to read as follows:
"Section 10. General Provisions
A. Enforcement. Cn addition to those persons authorized
under Section 5, Articl>_ 1, Chapter 6 to enforce the provisions
of this article, Sections 3 and 4 of Article 17, Chapter 6
shall be enforced by duly deputized employees of the County
of Hawaii."
SECTION 2. Sever ability. If any provision of this ordinance or
the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of
the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision
or application, and to this end the. provisions of this ordinance are
declared to be severable.
SECTION 3. Material tc be repealed is bracketed. New material
is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed
material and underscoring nEed not be included.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
