ORDINANCE NO. 412
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AR'CICLE 8, CHAPTER 6 (TRAFFIC CODE),
OF THE HAWAII COUNTY COD]'s, AS AMENDED, TO AMEND ITEM 8
OF SCHEDULE 5 OF SECTION 5, RELATING TO SPECIAL SPEED
LIMITS, FORTY-FIVE MILES PER HOUR.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 5, Article 8, Chapter 6 (Trai'fic
Code), of the Hawaii Cou~ity Code, as amended, is hereby
further amended by amend:,_ng Item 8 of Schedule 5,
Forty-Five Miles Per Hour, to read as follows:
"8. Hawaii Be7.t Road[, in Papaaloa, from
the Honokaa side of Kihalani Bridge to] from
the Hilo side of Mo~nalua Bridge to the Twenty-
Five Mile Post in Lsupahoehoe."
SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed.
New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance,
the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need
not be included.
SECTION 3. Severability. If any provision of
this ordinance or the application thereof to any perso~i
or circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shal_
not affect other provisio:~s or applications of the

ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end, the provi=ions
of this ordinance are dE,clared to be severable.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upcn
its approval.
