ORDINANCE No . 521
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5 (GROUND TRANSPORTATION) OF THE
HAWAII COUNTY CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 5, Article 3, Section 1, Subsection D,
of the Hawaii County Code shall be amended to read as follows:
"D. 'Fixed Taxi Stand' shall mean a space set aside for
the exclusive use of a taxicab [and clearly marked
with a sign giving the name of the individual,
partnership, corporation, association or other
organization using saki stand]. A fixed stand must
be on private property approved by the Planning
Department of the County of Hawaii or at an airport."
SECTION 2. Ordinance material to be repealed is bracketed.
New material is underscored. When revising, compiling or printing
this ordinance for inclusion in the Hawaii County Code, the
county clerk need not include the brackets, the bracketed material
or the underscoring.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5 (GROUND TRANSPORTATION) OF THE
HAWAII COUNTY CODE.
This Bill changes the requirement far a fixed taxi stand.
Date Introduced: January 23, 1980.
