AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 2, CHAPTER 10 OF THE HAWAII
COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO SIGN PERMIT FEES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OE' THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 4, Article 2, Chapter 10 of the
Hawaii County Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 4. FEES
Every applicant before being granted a permit
hereunder shall pay to the Chief Engineer for each
sign regulated by this chapter a fee [, which shall
be as follows:
Total Estimated Valuation of Work
From $ .O1 to $500.
From $500.01 to $1,000.
From $1,000.01 and above.
of five dollars ($5.00).
Fee to be charged
$3
$1 plus $.50 per
$100 fraction thereof
of the total estimated
valuation of work.
$3 plus $.30 per
$100 fraction thereof
of the total estimated
valuation of work.]
SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New
material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the
brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.

This Bill establishes a uniform sign permit fee for the
County of Hawaii
