MATAYOSHI MAYOR One of the recommendations of our audiE,ors was that interest on Anti-Recession Fiscal Assistance (AREA) funds that were received in the previous fiscal year 'be computed and appropriated. We have computed such interest to be $52,500.30 and request your favorable action in appropriating $36,300.00 of this amount to the Mass Transportation Agency so that current levels of service can be maintained for this fiscal year and appropriating the balance of $16,200.30 to Parks and Recreation facilities repairs and maintenance. Further, a resolution is enclosed to transfer the $12,600 in AREA funds originally set aside for reimbursement of employee benefits to Parks and Recreation facilities repairs and maintenance.
