AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6, RELATING TO SUPPLEn1ENTARY OFF-STREET
PARKING AND LOADING REGULATIONS, OF CHAPTER 8, ARTICLE 26, HAWAII
COUNTY CODE 1975, AS AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HA6^dAII:
SECTION 1. PURPOSE. The purpose of this ordinance is to exempt
those areas fronting that portion of the Hawaii Belt Highway which
runs from Jupiter Cleaners and Laundry to Kona Towing Service in
Kainaliu, Kona, from the off-street parking requirements of the
Zoning Ordinance. The Council finds this action necessary to permit
improvement and development to the Kainaliu area without necessitating
the wholesale destruction or alteration of existing commercial
structures.
SECTION 2. Section 6 of Chapter 8, Article 26 of the Hawaii
County Code 1975, as amended, is amended by adding a new section to
read as follows:
"SECTION 6.02. EXCEPTIONS.
The supplementary off-street parking regulations of
Section 6 shall not apply to those areas immediately
fronting either side of that portion of the Hacaaii Belt High-
way which runs from Jupiter Cleaners and Laundry to Kona
Towing Service, in Kainaliu, Kona.°'
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

Article 26, Hawaii County Code 1975, as amended.
