BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Schedule 1, Article 7, Chapter 6, of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, is further amended as follows: "SCHEDULE 1 - INTERSECTION KONA 4. Entering the intersection of Alii Drive and Hualalai Road from both approaches bf Alii Drive and the mauka approach of Hualalai Road." SECTION 2. Schedule 2, Article 7, Chapter 6, of the Hawaii County Code, as amended., is further amended as follows: "SCHEDULE 2 - THROUGH STREETS KONA 1. ALII DRIVE, from Palani Road, except at Hualalai Road, [to Keauhou Beach] southerly to its terminus [in Kona]." SECTION 3. Schedule 5, Article 8, Chapter 6, of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, is further amended as follows: "SCHEDULE 5 - SPEED LIMITS FIFTEEN MILES PER HOUR 2. Alii Drive, from Palani Road to Walua Road (vicinity of Kona Hilton Hotel). 3. Palani Road, from Kuakini Highway to Alii Drive. TWENTY-FIVE MILES PER HOUR 4. Palani Road from a point 1,000 feet mauka of the. Kailua-Kawaihae Road southwesterly to [Alii Drive] to its intersection with Kuakini Highway. 5. [Alii Drive from Kailua Wharf to the Kailua-Keauhou Middle Road (in the vicinity of Kona Hilton Hotel).] RESERVED. THIRTY MILES PER HOUR 10. Alii Drive, from Walua Road (vicinity of Kona Hilton Hotel) to Kamehameha III Road in Keauhou. THIRTY-FIVE MILES PER HOUR 42. Alin Drive, from the Kamehameha III Road intersection southerly to its terminus." SECTION 4. Schedule 10, Article 15, Chapter 6, of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, is further amended as follows: "SCHEDULE 10 - NO PARKING ON PAVEMENT ZONES KONA 1. Alii Drive from Disappearing Sands Beach to the County park adjacent to Keauhou Hotel[.] exce t as provided in Schedule 12, Kona section, clauses 23 and 24. 2. SECTION 5. Schedule 12, Article 15, Chapter 6, of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, is further amended as follows: "SCHEDULE 12 - NO PARKING ZONES KONA 23. Alii Drive, makai side, for a distance of one hundred feet on either side of each driveway to the Kona Magic Sands Apartment building and the. driveway to White Sands Beach. 24. Alii Drive, makai side, for a distance of one hundred feet on either side of each driveway into Kahaluu Beach Park." SECTION 6. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and. underscoring need not be included. SECTION 7. If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. SECTION 8. This ordinance shall take effect. upon its approval.
