Home My WebLink AboutORD 1980-662 1976-1980BILL NO. 70~¢ COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII ORDINANCE NO. ~~~ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Chapter 6, Article 15, Section 8-B, Schedule 12, of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, under the district designation KONA, is further amended by adding the following: "25. Alii Drive, beginning at a op int thirty five feet north of Royal Poinciana Drive and extending southward for a distance of two hundred seventy six feet.." SECTION 2. Chapter 6, Article 15, Section 8-B, Schedule 12, of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, under the district designation SOUTH HILO, is further amended by adding the following: "119. Wainaku Avenue, mauka side, beginning at Pukihae Bridge No. 1 and extending two hundred forty five feet in the Puna direction." SECTION 3. Chapter 6, Article 15, Section 8-B, Schedule 12, of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, under the district designation KONA, is further amended by adding the following: "22. Mamalahoa Highway, beginning at a o~ int one hundred ten feet north of the National Guard Armory Road and extending southward 'for a distance of one hundred fifty feet." SECTION 4. Chapter 6, Article 8, Section 5, Schedule 5, of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, under the speed desig- nation TWENTY-FIVE MILES PER HOUR, is further amended as follows; "2. All streets within the Lanakila Homes area[, except for Kapiolani Street]." SECTION 5. Chapter 6, Article 8, Section 5, Schedule 5, of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, under the speed desig- nation THIRTY MILES PER HOUR, is further amended by adding the following: "ll. Leilani Street, from Kanoelehua Street to Kekuanaoa: Street." SECTION 6. Chapter 6, Article 7, Section 3-B, Schedule 2, of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, under the district desig- nation SOUTH HILO, is further amended by adding the following: "81. Kulaimano Road, from the' Old Mamalahoa Highway to its-mauka terminus except at the. Hawaii Belt Road. "82. "Pepeekeo Street, except at Maukaloa Street and' at the. Old Mamalahoa Highway. "83. Kaakepa Street, from Pepeekeo Street to its mauka terminus except at the Hawaii Belt Road. °'84. Makahana Street,-from Kulaimano Road to Pepeekeo Street. "85. Kumula Street, except: at Kaakepa Street and at the' mauka intersection with Kulala Street. 2. "86. Onomea Street, except. at Kapehu Street." SECTION 7. Chapter 6, Article 7, Section 3-B, Schedule 2, of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, under the district designation PI7NA, is further amended by adding the following: "9. Alii Anela Street, Volcano Road to Alaula Street. "10. Alii Koa Street, Volcano Road to Alaula Street. "11. Alii Kane Street, except at Volcano Road. "12. Puolani Street, except at Anuhea Street. "13. Alaula Street, Puolani Street to Alii Kane Street." SECTION 8. Chapter 6, Article 7, Section 1-C, Schedule 1, of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, under the district designation PUNA, is further amended by adding the following: "10. Entering Anuhea Street from Anuhea Place. "11. Entering Anuhea Street from Wohi Place. "12. Entering Anuhea Street from Puolani Street. "13. Entering Anuhea Street from Alii Papa Street. "14. Ente-.ring Alii P~a~a Street from Huakai Street." SECTION 9. Chapter 6, Article 16, Section 4, Schedule 15, of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, under the district designation SOUTH HILO, is further amended by adding the following: "19. Kawili Street, east side, beginning from a point one hundred fifty two feet makai of the Waiakea High School driveway and extending in the makai direction for a distance of sixty feet. 3. "20. Mauro Street, north side, beginning from the mauka 's'ide of Kilauea Avenue and extending in -the mauka direction for a distance of sixty feet. "21. Kapiolani Street, east side, beginning from a point five feet north of the Church of HoIY Apostles driveway and extending in -the northern direction for a distance of forty feet. "22. Waianuenue Avenue, east side, beginning from a point- one. hundred fifteen feet makai of utility pole #29 'and extending in the makai direction for a distance of sixty feet. "23. Waianuenue Avenue,' west side, beginning from :the mauka side: of the Hawaii Public Library exit driveway and extending in the mauka direction for a distance of fifty feet." SECTION 10. Chapter 6, Article 7, Section 3, Schedule 2, of the. Hawaii County Code, as amended, under the district designation SOUTH HILO, is further amended as follows: "33. KEAWE STREET, from [Wailuku Drive] Puueo Street to Kilauea Avenue, except at [Waianuenue Avenue] Wailuku Drive." SECTION 11. Chapter 6, Article 15, Section $-B, Schedule 12, of the. Hawaii County Code, as amended, under the district designation SOUTH HILO, is further amended by adding the following: "129. Mohala Place, Hamakua side, for its entire- length." 4. SECTION 12. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be included. SECTION 13. If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. SECTION 14. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
