COUNTY OF HAWAII ~- STATE OF HAWAII
ORDINANCE NO. ~~~
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 8, CHAPTER 6, OF THE
HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO SPECIAL
SPEED LIMITS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Schedule 5 of Section 5, Article 8, Chapter 6,
of the Hawaii County Code is amended by adding an item under
the "TWENTY-FIVE MILES PER HOUR" classification to read as
follows:
"35. Old Volcano Road in Keaau Village, from its
intersection with Highway 11 approximately 0.2 miles north
of Mile Post 8, and extending in a northerly direction to
its intersection with Keaau Loop Road in the vicinity of
Mile Post 7."
SECTION 2. Schedule 5 of Section 5, Article 8, Chapter 6,
of the Hawaii County Code is amended by amending item 34
under the "THIRTY-FIVE MILES PER HOUR" classification to
read as follows:
"34. Old Volcano Road, for its entire length, except
that segment in Keaau Village which begins with its intersection
with Highway 11, approximately 0.2 miles north of Mile Post
8, and extends northerly to its intersection with Keaau Loop
Road in the vicinity of Mile Post 7."
SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New
material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the
brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstances is held
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions
or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect
without the invalid provision or application, and to this
end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
