HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1981-692 1980-1984BILL NO. 73~~ COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII ORDINANCE N0. ~~ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO TRAFFIC CONTROL. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Chapter 6, Article 7, Schedule 2 (Through Streets), of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, is further amended under the "SOUTH HILO" classification as follows: "60. [POOKELA STREET, from Kanoelehua Avenue to Makaala Street.] RESERVED. "14. HOLOMUA STREET, from [Pookela] Kawili Street to Makaala Street. "91. Kilikina Street, from Ainako Avenue to its SECTION 2. Chapter 6, Article 8, Schedule 5 (Special Speed Limits), of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, is further amended by adding the following under the "TWENTY-~ FIVE MILES PER HOUR" classification: "36. Middle Keei Road, from Napoopoo Road to the Mamalahoa Highway." SECTION 3. Chapter 6, Article 10, Schedule 6 (One-Way Streets), of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, is further amended as follows: "2. [HAILI STREET. All vehicular traffic shall move only from makai to mauka, between Kamehameha Avenue and Halai Street, between the hours of 7:15 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on school days.] r.nnrr~r rrir 11 SECTION 4. Chapter 6, Article 12, Schedule 7 (Established Crosswalks), of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, is further amended by adding the following under the "SOUTH HILO" classification: "30. Waianuenue Avenue, fronting the new parking lot for Hilo Hospital." SECTION 5. Chapter 6, Article 16, Schedule 14 (Freight- . ~, ~. .. Loading Zones), of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, is ~' "31. Old Volcano Highway, beginning at a op int 148 feet north of Highway 130 and extending 24 feet in the northerly direction." SECTION 6. Chapter 6, Article 16, Schedule 15 (Bus Stops), of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, is further amended by adding the following under the "PUNA" classification: "1. North Glenwood Road, be inning at a point 2.1 miles northwest of Highway 11 and extending 100 feet in the northeasterly direction." SECTION 7. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be included. SECTION 8. If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. -2- SECTION 9. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
