No. 337-00 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> TIME: 10:32 A.M. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 337-00, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 337-00, transmitted jointly with Bill No. 335 by Director of Finance <br /> Dixie Kaetsu, via Communication No. 957, dated October 16, 2000, authorizes the County of <br /> Hawaii to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawaii for a data transmission upgrade <br /> grant. <br /> The State Department of Transportation has authorized funding to upgrade equipment necessary <br /> to transfer information on motor vehicle accident reports on a timely basis. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, county departments must obtain the consent <br /> of the council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to <br /> <br /> be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds <br /> or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those <br /> powers. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 337-00 <br /> and recommends its adoption. <br /> smc <br /> A N s Respectfully submitted <br /> CHUNG X <br /> ELARIONOFF X CO EON FINANCE <br /> JA O N X <br /> LE HEAD- ODD X <br /> PIS CCHIO X <br /> SMITH X <br /> TYLER X AARON S.Y.
