Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 336-00, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 336-00, transmitted by Director of Finance Dixie Kaetsu, via Communication
No. 955, dated October 12, 2000, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of
more than one fiscal year for a dozer.
The Department of Public Works wishes to enter into afive-year contract to lease, with purchase
options, a dozer for solid waste operations.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by
resolution.
For informational purposes, Mr. Tyler voted kanalua twice.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 336-00
and recommends its adoption.
