COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII
ORDINANCE N+~J.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY
CODE, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 5, Article 8, Chapter 6, of the
Hawaii County Code is amended by adding new items to the
Twenty-Five Miles Per Hour classification of Schedule 5 to
read as follows:
"37. The old HONOKAA-WAIPIO ROAD, from its
intersection with the State Highway (FAS240) on
the Honokaa side of Kukuihaele Village to its
termination at the Wai~io Lookout.
"38. On Route 11 (Mamalahoa Highway), beginning at a
op int 2/10 of a mile Kona of mile marker 63~ "
(63.2) and ending 2/10 of a mile on the Kona side
of the 64-mile marker."~
SECTION 2. Section 5, Article 8, Chapter 6, of the
Hawaii County Code is amended by amending item 30 of the
Thirty-Five Miles Per Hour classification of Schedule 5 to
read as follows:
"30. On Route 11 (Mamalahoa Highway) from a
point approximately 2/10 of a mile on
the Naalehu side of the 67 mile [post]
marker (66.8) toward Pahala to a point
approximately 2/10 of a mile on the
[Naalehu] Kona side of the [63 mile
post (63.2) ] 64 mile marker (64.2) ."
SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New
material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the
brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 4. In the event any portion of this ordinance
is declared invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other
parts of this ordinance.
SECTION 5. 'T`his ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
