AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE lU,
SECTION $.01, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED,
RELATING TO FEES CHARGED FOR MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR'S
PERMITS AND LICENSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section $.01, Article 10, Chapter 2, of the
Hawaii County Code is amended to read as follows;
"SECTION 8.01. AMOUNT OF FEES.
The following fees are hereby established for the
application and renewal of motor vehicle instruction permits
and drivers' licenses:
A. Application for Instruction
Permit. [$2.00] $5.00
B. Application for Driver's License
(not chargeable if applicant
presents evidence of having paid
to Hawaii County the application
for Instruction Permit fee.) $1.00
C. Driver's License valid for
two (2) years
D. Renewal of Driver's License
valid for two (2) years
E. Driver's License valid for
four (4) years
F. Renewal of Driver's License
valid for four (4) years
G. Duplicate License
H. Road Test Fee (Categories 1, 2,
and 3)

SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New
material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the
brackets, bracketed material, and underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 3. In the event that any portion of this
ordinance is declared invalid, such invalidity shall not
affect the other parts of this ordinance.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
