COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII
ORDINANCE NO. 825
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE,
AS AMENDED, RELATING TO TRAFFIC CONTROL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 5, Article 8, Chapter 6, of the
Hawaii County Code is amended by adding a new item to the
Twenty-Five Miles Per Hour classification of Schedule 5 to
read as follows:
"39. On Kuakini Highway, beginning at a point 400 feet
south of Hualalai Road to its terminus at the Old Kona
Airport."
SECTION 2. Section 5, Article 8, Chapter 6, of the
Hawaii County Code is amended by amending item 4 of the
Thirty-Five Miles Per Hour classification of Schedule 5 to
read as follows:
"4. Kuakini Highway, from a point 500 feet south
(mauka) of the Ala Keanawai Intersection to [Palani
Road] a oint 400 feet south of Hualalai Road."
SECTION 3. Section 4-A, Article 15, Chapter 6, of the
Hawaii County Code is amended by adding a new item to the
South Hilo classification of Schedule 10 to read as follows:
"3. Pukihae Street, for its entire length."
SECTION 4. Section 8-B, Article 15, Chapter 6, of the
Hawaii County Code is amended by repealing item 83 of the
South Hilo classification of Schedule 12, adopted by Hawaii
County Ordinance Number 104, as follows:
"[83. Pukihae Street, mauka side, for its entire
length.]"
SECTION 5. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New
material is underscored. When incorporating this ordinance
into the Hawaii County Code, the incorporator need not
include the brackets, bracketed material, or the
underscoring.
SECTION 6. In the event any portion of this ordinance
is declared invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other
parts of this ordinance.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval. \
