AN ORDIIANCE AMENDING SECTION 20-45, ARTICLE 3, CI-IAPTER 20 (REFUSE),
HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983, RELATING TO PENALTIES FOR REFUSE DISPOSAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 20-45, Article 3, Chapter 20, Hawaii County
Code 1983, is amended to read as follows:
"Section 20-45. Penalty. Any violation of this article is
a misdemeanor and any person convicted of a violation shall be
sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding $500.00[.] and shall
contribute not less than twenty (20) hours public service with
the department of public works and department of parks and
recreation."
SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material
is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed
material and underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 3. In the event that any portion of this ordinance is
declared invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other parts
of this ordinance.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
