W.C. 2) HN WC draws its "sourer water" from this subject well and packages it Tor distribution throughout the Stale of llawaii, Continental IJ.S., and Asia. H.N. W.('. has been packaging this source water sinee 1993. 3) 'this water source is currently in a very pristine and purr condition (refer to atiaehed water analysis dated 1998), and the reputation of the water and ILN. W.C. is based on this purity of the source. 4) There is currently no potential source of contamination mauka (or up slope) of the subject source well. The purposed development will be located directly rnarrka oferur property (Refer to )exhibit A-attached). 5) The U.S. Department of Geology has stadicd the gutlogical make up of the cc~ater soarers which are universally found in the area. The rainfall and snow source which are deposited on the windward sides of the mountains, flow dorm through the lat'a rock layers, and travels towards the shorelines, eventually terminating in springs. 1TNWC"s artesian source well has tapped into this aquifer. IJ' the zoning change moves forward and prevails, we would request that the developer be required to provide a higher form of trcatmem (to a minimum of R-] or even a 7 orliary level) for the wastewater. We would also require an au;eptable plan fey, direct. reuse of the wastewater after the required treatment process. In conclusion, we arc requestinb that the Planning Conunillce deny the requested land use zoning; change based upon the potential contamination to our SOURCE WILL!
