Dear County Council,
In regard to rezoning from Ag to commercial in Keaau for a Shipman
shopping center, let me ask you people this: what sense is the new Keaau
bypass if you allow another traffic jam there via a shopping center? Please
don't negate the millions spent to free-up traffic through Keaau by allowing
yet more commercialization of once lovely Keaau with ,yet another shopping
center. Also, SureSave market there is struggling to survive, and yet another
supermarket via Shipman would be the death knell for SureSave,
and thus many at SureSave would lose their jobs.
Please allow those who paid their dues for SureSave to keep their jobs,
and keep the traffic flowing via the bypass by disallowing a rezoning just to
please Shipman. Thanks for your attention and thoughtfulness. Things
must be thought out and not just rubber-stamped to please the greedy
and ill-planned desire for senseless development.
