ORDINANCE NO. S5 74
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
RELATING TO Ab7ENDMENT OF TRAFFIC CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, Article 10, Section 24-284(2),
Schedule 32, of the Hawaii County Code 1983, is deleted in its
entirety:
"[(2) Haili Street, from Kinoole Street to Kapiolani
Street.]"
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Section 24-291(2),
Schedule 39, of the Hawaii County Code 1983, is amended to read as
..follows:
"(2) Haili Street between Kamehameha Avenue and [Ululani]
Kinoole Street."
SECTION 3. Chapter 24, Article 10, Section 24-291(12),
Schedule 39, of the Hawaii County Code 1983, is amended to read as
follows:
"(12) Kinoole Street, makai side, from Waianuenue Avenue to
Ponahawai Street[.]; mauka side, from Waianuenue Avenue to Haili
Street."
SECTION 4. Chapter 24, Article 10, Section 24-291(15),
Schedule 39, of the Hawaii County Code 1983, is deleted in its
entirety:
"[(15) Wailuku Drive, from Keawe Street to Kinoole Street.]"
SECTION 5. Chapter 24, Article 10, Section 24-291(18),
Schedule 39, of the Hawaii County Code 1983, is amended to read as
follows:
"(18) Ponahawai Street, Hamakua side, from Kamehameha Avenue
to Kinoole Street[.]; Puna side, from Kilauea Avenue to Kinoole
Street."
SECTION 6. Chapter 24, Article 10, Section 24-292(3),
Schedule 40, of the Hawaii County Code 1983, is amended to read as
follows:
"(3) Wailuku Drive, Kamehameha Avenue to [Keawe] Kinoole
Street."
SECTION 7. Chapter 24, Article 10, Section 24-292,
Schedule 40, of the Hawaii County Code 1983, is amended by adding
the following items to read as follows:
"( ) Haili Street, Puna side, from Kinoole Street, to
Ululani Street.
( ) Kinoole Street, mauka side, from Haili Street to
Ponahawai Street.
( ) Ponahawai Street, Puna side, from Kamehameha Avenue to
Kilauea Avenue."
SECTION 8. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New
material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the
brackets, bracketed material, and underscoring need not be
included.

SECTION 9. If any provision of this ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 10. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
