ORDINANCE NO. 86 104
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5, HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983, RELATING
TO THE BUILDING CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 5, Article 1, Section 5-23, Hawaii County
Code 1983, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 5-23. Amending Table No. 3-A. Table No. 3-A is
amended to read as follows:
TABLE 3-A - BUILDING PERMIT FEES
Fees for new dwellings, carports and any additions to a dwelling
or carport shall be as follows:
Dwellings
(Including enclosed patio
and utility area)
$10 per 100 sq. ft. or
fraction thereof
Carport, open patio and $5 per 100 sq. ft. or
separate storage structures fraction thereof
All others shall be based on the schedule below:

SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New
material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the
brackets, bracketed material, and underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 3. If any provision of this ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid

provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
