AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY
CODE 1983, RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1,
section 24-257, schedule 5, item 31, Hawaii County Code 1983,
relating to 35 mile per hour speed limit zones, is amended to read
as follows:
"(31) Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11), Prom a point
approximately [0.2 miles on the Naalehu side of the
sixty-seven mile post toward Pahala,] 1.1 mile east of the
South Point Road, to a point approximately 0.2 mile on the
as ehu side o the sixty-three mile post."
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1,
section 24-260, schedule 8, item 11, Hawaii County Code 1983,
relating to 45 mile per hour speed limit zones, is amended to read
as follows:
"(11) Hawaii Belt Road in Kau, from a point [0.2 miles
on the Naalehu side of the sixty-seven mile post] 1.1 mile
east of the South Point Road, to a point 0.4 mile on the Kona
side of the seventy mile post."
SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New
material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the
brackets, bracketed material, and underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 4. If any provision oP this ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
