AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 87-58, THE OPERATING BUDGET
FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1987 TO
JUNE 30, 1988.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 87-58 is hereby amended by
redesignating the following appropriations.

SECTION 2. Section 9 of Ordinance No. 87-58 is hereby repealed
and a new section 9 inserted to read as follows:
"Section 9. Contingency Account. A contingency account is
herebv established and the funds therein may be transferred to other
accounts pursuant to the Mayor's request and Council approval."
SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 87-58 is further amended to provide
that the appropriation for the Ka'u-Hilo Mass Transit Route is to
enable the Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council (HCEOC) to
continue their bus service to the bus riders between Ka'u and Hilo.

SECTION 4. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material
is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the underscoring need
not be included.
SECTION 5. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance,
or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held
invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or
applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the
invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of
this ordinance are severable.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
