ORDINANCE NO. ~~ 79
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 2,
SECTION 24-267, RELATING TO ONE-WAY STREETS, BY REPEALING
ORDINANCE N0. 88-29.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Purpose. Upon further review, the council has
found that a one-way traffic pattern on Banyan Way is not in the
best interests of the business community or the public and that
the concern for traffic safety in that area can be more
satisfactorily addressed by an alternative method.
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 88-29, which amended chapter 24,
article 10, division 2, section 24-267, schedule 15, relating to
one-way streets, is repealed.
"[( ) Banyan Way. All vehicular traffic shall move only
from the Puna to Hamakua direction, from Kalanianaole Street to
Banyan Drive.)"
