ORDINANCE NO. 30 134
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 90-75, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
JULY 1, 1990 TO JUNE 30, 1991.
WHEREAS, the $50,000 appropriation for the "Puna-Continuous
Street Lights" project lapsed on June 30, 1990; and
WHEREAS, said appropriation was to be funded out of the proceeds
from the fuel tax increase authorized by Resolution 397-88; and
WHEREAS, the State Legislature has provided the following
appropriations for street lights in the First Senatorial and First
House districts:
Act 314 1989 Legislature
SP 0104 $20,000
Act 300 1990 Legislature
SP 0103 14,000
HP 0108 15,000; and
WHEREAS, although the Puna-Continuous Street Lights project has
lapsed, the funds were derived from Puna's portion of the fuel tax
increase formula; and
WHEREAS, the lapsed funds are now available for reappropriation
to qualifying highway fund projects in the Puna district.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 90-75, as amended, Relating to Public
Improvements and Financing Thereof For the Fiscal Year July 1, 1990
to June 30, 1991 is hereby amended by adding the following projects:
Pahoa Ag Park Phase II - Auina Street Light $ 1,000
Shipman Gym Roadway Improvements $49,000
SECTION 2. Funds for the above-mentioned projects shall be
provided from the Unallotted Appropriations Fuel Tax Increase
Account (2236.00) of the Capital Projects Fund.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
