AN ORDINANCE CREATING A SPECIAL FUND ENTITLED THE "GEOTHERMAL ASSET
FUND."
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 10-12 of the Charter of the County of Hawaii
provides that special funds may be established as necessary for the
proper and efficient segregation of fiscal operation of the county.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to a condition of the Geothermal Resources
Permit, the County will be receiving contributions towards a fund
for the purpose of geothermal impact mitigation efforts. The
administration and expenditure of assets from this fund shall be in
accordance with rules, regulations and procedures developed in
accordance with Chapter 91, Hawaii Revised Statutes.
SECTION 3. A special fund entitled "Geothermal Asset Fund" is
hereby created for proper accounting of receipts and disbursements
of funds received pursuant to Section 2.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
