AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 8, OF THE HAWAII
COUNTY CODE 1983, RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 8, division 3,

section 24-212, of the Hawaii County Code 1983, relating to
parking in bus stops prohibited, is amended by changing the
title to "Parking in bus stops and road taxi stands prohibited,"
and by adding the following section to be appropriately numbered
and to read as follows:
"(c) No person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle,
other than a taxicab with a valid road taxi stand permit.
(d) The areas described in Schedule 23.1,
Section 24-275.1 are designated as road taxi stands, when
appropriate signs and markings giving notice thereof are
erected.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 3,
section 24-275, schedule 23, of the Hawaii County Code 1983
relating to bus stops, is amended by changing the title to
"Division 3. Bus stops and public road taxi stands" and by
establishing the following new section to be read as follows:
"Section 24-275.1. Schedule 23.1. Public road
public road taxi stands in the County shall be to

SECTION 3. New material is underscored. In printing
this ordinance, the underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance or
the application thereof to any person or circumstances
is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other
provisions or applications of the ordinance which can
be given effect without the invalid provision or application,
and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are
declared to be severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon
its approval.
