AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 6, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY
CODE 1983, RELATING TO VOTER REGISTRATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Chapter 2, article 6, section 2-04, of the Hawaii
County Code, relating to rental fee for the use of voter
registration computer tapes, is amended to read as follows:
A. The rental fee for the use of voter registration computer
tapes of the regular elections or the Office of Hawaiian Affairs
(OHA) elections shall be [for twenty-five dollars ($25.00)] a one
hundred dollar ($100.00) handling charge for each list [plus $0.001
per registered voter] for the first seventy-two (72) hours of use.
B. After the first seventy-two (72) hours an additional fee of
twenty-five dollars (25.00) per day or any fraction thereof shall l;e
charged to the renter.
C. In addition, there shall be charges to the renter for any
damage to the voter registration computer tapes incurred during the
rental period.
SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material
is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed
material and underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 3. If any provision of this ordinance, or the
application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid,
the invalidity does not affect other provisions or applications of
the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application and to this end, the provisions of this
ordinance are severable.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
