Bill 350: Gives the Mayor of the county of Hawaii emergency powers to waive
certain requirements as provided by Chapters 3 (Advertising ~ Signs),
5 (Building), 9 (Electricity), 17 (Plumbing), 22 (Streets & Sidewalks),
and 25 (Zoning) of the Hawaii County Code.
{Provides for the pressing need to make repairs to structures and to
reconstruct buildings damaged in the floods of November 1 and 2, 2000;
gives the opportunity to repair signs, driveway approaches, sidewalks and
other private improvements and to rebuild damaged structures and
buildings without having to strictly comply with all requirements of said
Chapters. }

PWPC Rept. 124: The Committee on Public Works and Parks finds that the "Auction Blimp"
(C-920) is a sign which is in violation of Chapter 3, Article 1, and recommends
that the sign variance request of Mike Schmidt be denied.
FC Rept. 355: The Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of
(C-953) Communication No. 953 and recommends the approval of the
HSAC Policy concerning Conferences.
