HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1992-044 1992-1994COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII BILL NO. 588 ORDINANCE NO. 92 44 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983, RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, section 24-257, schedule 5, of the Hawaii County Code relating to twenty mile per hour speed limits, is amended to read as follows: Section 24-257. Schedule 5. 35 mile per hour limit. A speed limit of thirty-five miles per hour is established as set forth in this schedule upon the streets or portions of streets as follows: (1) Ainaola Drive, from Kawailani Street to Malaai Road. (2) Alii Drive, from the Kamehameha III Road intersection southerly to its terminus. (3) Haleloke Street. (4) Hawaii Helt Road, from Kanoa Street to a point two hundred feet Puna of the Waianuenue Street intersection. (5) Hawaii Belt Road, from a point four thousand feet west of the access road to Waipunalei Camp to a point two thousand five hundred feet east of the Ookala Village access road. (6) Hawaii Belt Road, from the north access road leading to Hookena Beach southward to the beginning of Project No. BF-011-1(3) at Papa for the duration of construction of the Project. (7) Hilo Country Club Drive. (8) Hilo Bayfront Highway, from a point eight hundred feet east of the Pauahi Street intersection to Kamehameha Avenue. Hiona Street. [(9)] 10 Honokaa-Waipio Road through Camp 10. [(10)] 11 Honokaa-Waipio Road, from the westerly side of the Kaauhuhu Homestead to the easterly side of the Kapulena Subdivision Unit 1. [(33)] (34) Mamalahoa Highway, from its junction with the Hawaii Belt Road at Andrade Camp Road toward Hilo to its junction with the Hawaii Belt Road at Papaikou in the vicinity of Kalanianaole School. [(34)] 35 Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11), from a point approximately 1.1 mile east of the South Point Road, to a point approximately 0.2 mile on the Naalehu side of the sixty-four mile post. [(35)] (36) Mana Road, from Mamalahoa Highway for a distance of two thousand two hundred feet. [(36)] 37 Manono Street, from Kamehameha Avenue to Kawili Street. [(37)] (38) Nanawale Boulevard for its entire length. -4- [(38)] j~9) Old Volcano Road, for its entire length, except that segment in Keaau Village which begins with its intersection with Highway 11, approximately 0.2 miles north of Mile Post 8, and extends northerly to its intersection with Keaau Loop Road in the vicinity of Miles Post 7. [(39)] 40 Pahoa-Kalapana Road, from Kaimu Junction for a distance of one thousand feet in the mauka direction. [(40)] 41 Palani Road, from Hawaii Belt Road to Kuakini Highway. [(41)] 42 Pauahi Street, from Kamehameha Avenue to Kilauea Avenue. [(42)] (43) Paniolo Avenue in South Kohala, from Waikoloa Road northward to its terminal. [(43)] 44 Puako Beach Road, from the Queen Kaahumanu Highway to a point five hundred feet makai of the Rubbish Dump Road. [(44)] 45 Saddle Road, from Country Club Drive to the 18.8 mile point. [(45)] 46 Waikoloa Road in South Kohala, from a point approximately three hundred feet mauka of the driveway to the stables and extending westerly to a point eight hundred feet makai of Paniola Avenue. [(46)] 47 Waimea to Hawi Road, from Mamalahoa Highway to the beginning of Project F.A.P.E 11A. [(47)] 48 Wright Road in Volcano, Puna. -5- SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets and bracketed material need not be included. SECTION 3. If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
