ORDINANCE NO. 9~ 90
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, OF THE HAWAII
COUNTY CODE 1983, .RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, section 24-260,
schedule 8, of the Hawaii County Code 1983, relating to 45 mile
per hour speed limits, is amended by adding a new item to be
appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
"( ) Waikoloa Road. Oueen Kaahumanu Hiahwav to
Auwaiakeakua Gulch Bridoe."
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, section 24-257,
schedule 5, item 45, of the Hawaii County Code, relating to•
35 mile per hour speed limits, is amended to read as follows:
"(45) Waikoloa Road, in South Kohala, [from a point
approximately three hundred feet mauka of the driveway of the
stables and extending westerly to a point eight hundred feet makai
of Paniolo Avenue.l beginning at Auwaiakeakua Gulch Bridge and
Pxtending 1 1 miles in the mauka direction.
SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New
material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the
brackets, bracketed material, and underscoring need not be
included.

SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstances is held
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without
the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the
provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
