AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE S, OF THE HAWAII
COUNTY CODE 1983, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION TO ENABLE THE CHIEF
ENGINEER TO DESIGNATE EMPLOYEE PARKING AT PUBLIC FACILITIES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 8, Hawaii County Code, is
amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated
and to read as follows:
"24- The chief engineer is hereby authorized to
designate and identify one special parking stall[s] on Kahoa
Road leading to Honolii Beach Park for the sole use of County
of Hawaii lifeguards assigned to the public facility and for
emergency vehicles during the workino hours of the lifeouard."
SECTION 2. New material is underscored. In printing this
ordinance, the underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 3. If any provision of this ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without
the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the
provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
