ORDINANCE NO. 94 11
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, HAWAII COUNTY CODE
1983, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED HY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, section 24-256,
schedule 4 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 as amended, relating to
30 mile-per-hour speed limits, is amended by adding a new
subsection to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
{ ) Waimea/Kohala Road (FAP Route 19) Mamalahoa Hiahwav
to Ovelo Road.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, section 24-257(48)
schedule 5 of the Hawaii County Code as amended, relating to 35
mile-per-hour speed limits is amended to read as follows:
(48) Waimea to [Hawi] Kohala Road, from [Mamalahoa Highway]
Onelo Ro to the beginning of Project F.A.P. E 11A.
SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New
material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the
brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without

provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
