ORDINANCE NO. 94 116
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, SECTION 24-254, OF
THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO SPEED LIMITS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, section 24-254,
schedule 2, 20 mile per hour speed limit, of the Hawaii County
Code 1983, as amended, is amended by adding a new item to be
appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
{ ) Old Honokaa-Wainio Road, from its inters ction with
the State Hiohwav (FAS 240) on the Honokaa side of Kukuihaele
Village to the Wainio Vallev Lookout.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, section 24-254,
schedule 3, 25 mile per hour speed limit, of the Hawaii County
Code 1983, as amended, is amended by deleting items 6 and 33, as
follows:
[(6) Honokaa-Waipio Road, from a point sia hundred feet
west of mile marker 8 on Route 240 to the Waipio Valley lookout.]
[(33) Old Honokaa-Waipio Road, from its intersection with
the State Highway (FAS 240) on the Honokaa side of Kukuihaele
Village to its ,termination at the Waipio Lookout.]
SECTION 3. Severability. If any provision of this
ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or
circumstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect
other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be
given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable.
SECTION 4. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New
material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the
brackets, bracketed material, and the underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
