ORDINANCE NO. 94 118
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, SECTION 24-255, OF
THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO SPEED LIMITS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, section 24-255,
schedule 3, 25 mile per hour speed limit, of the Hawaii County
Code 1983, as amended, is amended by adding two new items to be
appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
L~ Old Volcano Highway, in Volcano Village.
j_Z Wright Road, in Volcano Village.
SECTION 2. Chapter 29, article 10, section 24-257,
schedule 5, 35 mile per hour speed limit, of the Hawaii County
Code 1983, as amended, is amended by deleting items 39 and 49, as
follows:
[(39) Old Volcano Road, for its entire length, except that
segment in Keaau Village which begins with its intersection with
Highway 11, approsimatey 0.2 miles north of Mile Post 8, and
extends northerly to its intersection with Keaau Loop Road in the
vicinity of Mile Post 7.]
((49) Wright Road in Volcano, Puna.]
SECTION 3. Severability. if any provision of this
ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or
circumstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect
other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be
given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable.
SECTION 4. Material to repealed is bracketed. New material
is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets,
bracketed material, and the underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
