ORDINANCE NO. `.35 18
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18-4 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE,
RELATING TO DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AS CHIEF ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Purpose. The County Council finds that all transportation matters should
reside with the County of Hawaii Mass Transit Agency. This bill transfers the administrative
duties of the Transportation Commission from the Director of Finance to the Mass Transit
Operations Coordinator.
SECTION 2. Section 18-4 is amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 18-4. [Director of finance] Transit operations coordinator as chief
administrator. The [director of finance] transit operations coordinator shall be the chief
administrator and he may assign any clerk, stenographer, agent or other assistant from the
[department of finance] Mass Transit Agency, to the Commission as may be necessary and define
their powers and duties."
SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In
printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material, and the underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect on Mazch 1, 1995.
